About us

Hi!

We are Joram and Noémie, the founders behind Vagabundo Adventures.

We would love to tell you our story.

After dreaming about changing our lifestyle, we made the decision to sell our house and most of our belongings in Belgium in the beginning of 2021 and converted a van to a home on wheels. After travelling and living on the road for one year and working a winter season in Sweden we decided to buy ourselves a little red house on the Swedish countryside in the summer of 2022.

We fell in love with the peace and quite in Sweden and the beautiful endless nature.

The first winters we lived in Sweden Joram worked as an outdoor guide and Noémie worked in a B&B called The Mangévie. In the winter of 2023 we both got our snowmobile license and started our own touring company called Vagabundo Adventures. Joram is the main guide and man behind this company because Noémie followed her love for dogs and started working as a musher for Below Zero Husky Tours in 2024.

In 2024 we moved to Enviken so we could do our tours up in the hills of Gryfsen and use the same starting place as Below Zero Husky Tours. And we now also have a little stuga that we rent out in winter and summer.

Meet the Team

Noémie Peeters

Originally educated as a Graphic Designer and working in that field for several years, Noémie developed a passion for photography and is now chasing that dream. She´s a huge animal lover and when she is not behind her camera you can find her out on hikes with her dogs Roxy & Lena, working as a musher for the family dogsled company Below Zero Husky tours or volunteering at a dog shelter abroad.

Joram Wertoy

After leaving his deskjob in Belgium, Joram gained experience as an outdoor guide in Sweden by working for the Mangévie. He´s always full of enthusiasm and up for a little chat (or long)! If he is not out on the trails with his snowmobile or out snowboarding you can probably find him chasing waves somewhere in Southern Europe. He loves being active and being outdoors.

Roxy

Roxy was adopted as a puppy from a shelter in Belgium. She is our little ball of energy. She´s always in the mood for an adventure and can cheer you up in no time with her goofyness.

Lena

Lena is adopted from Greece and we call her our greek queen. She loves sunbathing, long hikes, sleeping on everything that is soft and stealing socks.
